Frequently Asked Questions

HOW CAN I BUY MY  KEEPSAKE JEWELLERY?

You can contact me with your order, or with your idea, through the web or via Facebook/Instagram, or email. I will reply as soon as possible.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF CREATING YOUR BREAST MILK PIECE OF JEWELLERY LIKE?

Breast milk goes through a pasteurized process. Then natural products are added and finally resin so that the milk will be kept for ever. Once the milk goes through that process it will remain unaltered.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A KEEPSAKE PIECE OF JEWELLERY?

It normally takes me from two to three weeks from the instant I get the sample.

Everything is handcrafted. I work on my own and I devote myself to any piece I create.

I pamper and care about any detail with one and only objective in mind which is that

all of my customers are happy about the final result.

WHERE SHOULD I SEND MY SAMPLE (breast milk, umbilical cord, cremation ashes, etc)?

You can send it directly to my workshop by posting it to the follwing address:

Lourdes Brito (White Miracle)

CAN I HAVE A KEEPSAKE PIECE OF JEWELLERY WITHOUT ANY BREAST MILK?

Yes, of course you can.

You can also order any piece of jewellery made of anything you might find special. For

instance, the first baby lock of hair or a little piece of the umbilical cord, the first baby tooth, first baby socks or pyjamas (a bit of cloth), cremation ashes. Also it is possible to order a fingerprint piece of jewellery.

HOW SHOLULD I SEND THE SAMPLES?

Breastmilk: I need a minimum of 20ml of breast milk in order to pasteurized it. It should be safely kept in a milk extraction bag or a Zip plastic bag. Please try to get out as much air as possible. fold it and placed it in another similar bag. So we will have double hermetic seal. Please write down your name and surname in both bags. It can be expired milk, as long as it has been kept in the freezer.

Hair: I need a thing lock of hair (no more than 2cm long) Please tie it up with a thread, so it will be together and safe.

Umbilical cord: it will be enough with a little piece of cord, that you can take once the clamp has fallen off.

Creamation Ashes: I will need two teaspoons of cremation ashes for each piece of jewellery. It should be kept in a zip plastic bag. In case I do not use it all, I will send it back together with your piece of jewellery.

Fingerprints: first I will send you a special silicone for you to take the mold of the fingerprint. (I will send you as well a video explaining you how to take the mold, is really easy) Then you will send me, through post the fingerprint mold and with that I will make your piece of jewellery.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH SAMPLES THAT ARE LEFT?

I keep the breast milk that is left safely and tagged for one year. In case the client

would like to order any other piece during that time. After that period of time I will dispose

of the sample.

Dry samples such as umbilical cord, hair, cremation ashes... will be keep safely tagged for two year, after that period of time, the sample will be dispose with the exception of the cremation ashes, in which case they will be returned it to their families.

HOW CAN I KNOW MY SAMPLE WON’T GET MIXED WITH OTHERS?

I certainly know that many people fear this, which is perfectly understandable, but you can be certain that that won’t happen as I have a structured work system, spotless and extremely well organized. To

start with each sample is properly tagged with name and surname, plus a code associated with each client. When I’m working on a project, only the piece of jewellery and the sample I’m using for the purpose will remain on my working table.

I never work on two projects at the same time. Finally, I never start making a new

piece until everything is spotlessly clean.
